Energy Vault has commenced construction of its powered AI infrastructure campus in Snyder, Texas, marking a significant milestone in its partnership with Crusoe Cloud.
The project represents the first phase of the Snyder AI campus, designed to accelerate AI infrastructure deployment through modular data centre technology while supporting long-term expansion plans.
The development highlights Energy Vault’s strategy of combining powered land, electrical infrastructure and modular computing facilities to meet growing demand for AI and high-performance computing capacity.
Initial Deployment Targets Commercial Operations in Q1 2027
The first phase of the Snyder AI campus will deliver an initial 8MW of powered shell capacity for Crusoe Cloud, with the site designed for expansion to 25MW in a second phase.
Commercial ope Construction activities are already underway, covering enabling works required for the deployment of the Crusoe Spark™ modular data centre platform.
Modular Infrastructure Designed for Faster AI Capacity

A central component of the project is the deployment of ten Crusoe Spark modular data centres, which Energy Vault will purchase before leasing them back to Crusoe as powered shell infrastructure.
The modular platform is designed to reduce deployment timelines significantly, with installation and commissioning measured in weeks rather than years. Crusoe Spark will support cloud computing capacity for AI model training, fine-tuning and inference workloads.
Executives Highlight Speed-to-Power Strategy

Today, we are building it. Snyder AI is the result of this commitment and demonstrates how Energy Vault brings value to the community and generates recurring infrastructure revenue.”
Supporting Long-Term AI Infrastructure Growth

Beyond the initial deployment, the Snyder AI campus has been designed as a sustainable, modular platform with planned expansion capacity of up to 500MW, with annual revenue per megawatt expected to align with previous company guidance.
By integrating powered land, energy infrastructure, battery storage and modular data centres, Energy Vault aims to address key AI deployment challenges, including power availability, reliability, redundancy and faster infrastructure delivery.
