Heelstone Renewable Energy, LLC, a Qualitas Energy company, has acquired the Cypress Pointe Solar project, a 188MWp development-stage solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Texas, strengthening its U.S. renewable energy development pipeline.
The acquisition expands Heelstone’s presence in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) market while reinforcing its strategy to grow as a fully integrated independent power producer (IPP).
Located in Sabine County, Texas, the project is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2029 and is expected to support rising electricity demand through a broad range of renewable energy procurement opportunities.
Heelstone Expands Texas Solar Development Portfolio
The Cypress Pointe Solar project was developed through its early and mid-stage phases by Azimuth Renewables, which secured full site control and advanced the project to its current milestone.

Strategic Acquisition Strengthens Growth Pipeline

The acquisition follows Heelstone’s financial closings in July 2026 for three solar PV projects totalling 86MWp, further expanding its renewable energy portfolio.

According to Qualitas Energy, the transaction strengthens Heelstone’s ability to develop, finance, construct and operate renewable energy projects across the United States.
